few bits done (with pics) Filth!

well I've got a few bits done just to get her running a little bit smoother.

EGR kit fitted
De-cat fitted
adjusted smoke screw a bit
cleaned out the inlet manifold

pictures can do the talking from here I think

Oh My God that inlet manifold is Ridiculous. I hope you cleaned it out!

I gave it a quick going over, gonna whip it off soon and do a soak I think

Defiantly!!! After a day on the ranges gas parts out and straight into the 'army issued' Rola Cola that you got with your haverbag (lunch bag) and it would strip the carbon on while you cleaned the rest of the weapon and job done!!

And what a difference taking off and cleaning it makes

And you can catch refreshment on the dregs

I dont think I,ve ever seen a more clear indicator of how bad EGR must be for a cars intake system.

Disco is VERY clean aswell.

thankyou, she is clean but not without her niggles.

she needs a few bits of welding doing very soon but not bad enough to fail her last mot a couple of weeks ago

just a general tidy up really.

But yeh the intake was horrid, i resorted to getting a loo brush on it in the end! was hanging:doh:

Did you take it off before sticking a toilet brush in it i would be worried about shoving loose **** down the actual intake

yeh I did remove it but not far off, wanna do a proper job asap and have it gleaming!

any pics of the inlet manifold when clean.

I was surprised at the state of it. Is this just for EGR equipped vehicles or would my 200 have a similar issue?

I will get some pics up once I have done a complete clean on it, gonna have a look at the intercooler also as the pipe from it was filthy also.

not sure on the 200 engine - this is my first landy!
