I might nip to Kwik fit, I know they are crap for diagnosing but ok for a simple regas
If they do.it properly they are meant to recover the existing gas then vac test it if it passes refill with dye, oil and gas then give you a print out of said recoverd gas and new gas added my mate gives me a print out. You should only pay for the new amount of gas.

If it doesn't blow cold air they won't charge, they did mine for but couldnt/ wouldnt get involved as to why it wasn't. I got home and found a bad connection so fixed it.

Hello everyone, hope all is well!

A quick update on the situation......

So because there was no air in my car they couldn't diagnose the problem but because I was already there I asked them to fit a second-hand air-con compressor anyways even though they were not 100% that could be the problem (£90 for compressor and £90 for labour) I read online that job is a real ball ache! anyways after all that was done he had his mate fill it with gas and rang me and said there are faults coming up on the ECM maybe with a wire so sorry the air con doesn't work......but for some reason, my air-con has been working fine and it's freezing cold. haha

but I'm going to sell my Range Rover because I cannot deal with these problems anymore even though its a lovely drive and I love Vogues but I just don't have the hands-on experience like you guys.

I don't get how these cars are made for off-road when they cannot even handle normal car journeys. haha

Thanks again everyone on this thread!

Good to hear you “might” be sorted.

Don’t give up so soon. They are fantastic when maintenance is up to date:).

Oh it didn’t get here on a tarmac road, they are quite capable when needed.

They are not really made for off road, they are made for image and mounting kerbs on the school run.
