I quite like the Freelander, I think its a great car. Except for one thing.....

I am not particulaly tall (5'11) but have quite a long body and am quite fat, and find the seat is way too high. My head touches the roof and I feel like I am sitting on it rather than in it. I would like to adopt the "pimpin" posture of a bit lower and leaning on the arm rest......

Now, the only way i can see is to cut the seat cusion in half to get rid of a few inches, but since its her indoors car, thats a no no.

Any ideas?

ah! but when yu loose weight, yu will be older and when yu get older yu start to shrink in height. Simples :D.

I am six foot and find it ok in a Hippoo, well - for height, anyway. Maybe yo bum is too big?

all joking aside Philip1972, I'm 6'1, currently running 18 stone or so. I did find the driving position a little odd to start with, and wanted to move the seat down, after a while, I just got used to it.

As far as I know, there is no way of dropping the seat any lower, without reconfiguring the entire seat frame, which would need cutting and re-welding.

Merry Christmas !

This is a common problem me & Robin was talking to a rather tall chap who'd just got rid of a gaylander because A: it was **** (K series) and B: It was giving him serious neck and back problems.
