Fan issues

I have an 02 TD5 and the electric fan (not the viscous) seems to stay on continuously when the engine is running, any ideas why?
It doesnt stay on with just the ignition

you shure it the fan and not the oil spinner your hearing

It does this if the engine has ever overheated (or the ECU thinks it has). You need to reset the ECU using nanocom or hawkeye.

cheers for your help i just pluged it in and reset the codes all fixed now
