Fairey free wheel hub seal

Last time I took my FWH off the crappy plastic seal dropped in...it was already knackered and was fairly sure it would happen, but there isn't much you can do aout that sort of thing in the middle of no-where!

I have searched about and cannot find the part anywhere (know as retaining strip?) available in the "service kit" which is basically the seal and the screw from what I can make out - RTC7316.

I know it is a long shot, but does anyone have any of these seals in a secret stash anywhere or know where I can get them? Don't really want to buy a whole new unit!

I was told they were unobtainable back in 2000, that's one reason why I removed the hubs when I fitted new swivels.

They are going to be even more difficult to obtain now then! *remains optimisitc"

Looks like the only way to get a pair is to buy a pair of freewheel hubs. Bump just incase anyone else has some kicking about.

hmmm if anyone has a lazer cutter you could make them then sell the rest business oppotunity

As a field repair I was thinking of using a zip tie and glueing a ring end to it. A lazer cutter would be quite handy though!
