Looks okay and clean but it has condensation inside so dampness in the cab, water leak somewhere?, plus odd wheel used as a spare? and locking wheel nuts missing?.

I suppose that is the price now, it's silly money for what your getting, and the reason I still own mine after 17 years and still with original metal .:)

all looks good on the paper and price seems to be ok, could always knock some ££ off during last negos though :)

Yeah knocked him down to £1500 as wouldn't look for more but don't think he will go lower.
Not to concerned over spare as I have 2 es spares same with nuts.
Will look into the leak though

whereabouts in huddersfield? it looks like a lad that lives further up my road. if it is his its been looked after and he's had it a few years.

After a second look it looks that it just the covers on the locking nuts that are missing.
The engine looks nice and clean and well looked after, but that condensation in the alpine lights is quite bad otherwise nice motor looking at the pics that is. :)

Ill look at the alpine windows check they haven't rotted through.
Chance it could be rear sunroof or more likely rear door seal at top letting in water in line with the car clearly having just been washed

no its not the car by me, but not far off.
if you need the alpine lights resealing give me shout i know a bloke that will do it. think he charged me £30 to remove, seal and refit.

Ok didn't get it in the end.
Just don't think it was worth £1500.
Alpine windows were rotten and it hadn't had new arches just patch welds that I didn't think we're at a great standard.
Just overall didn't think it was worth it.
Would have paid 1100 but not in a rush so I'll keep looking

Prob best if you don't feel it!
Not being funny but I gave £1800 for 2000 TD5 ES 130,000 miles 3 owners and is solid only real issue heated drivers seat not working and track rod end has a bit of play

I didn't like to say at the time but as it was 1995MY ES it was missing a few things, like wood covering over the dash, I didn't see the cruise control switches on the steering wheel and the front seats were not electric, also the front fogs were not built-in but addon.
If your carrying on with looking for a D1 then you will find that a 97/98MY ES which has all the above as standard for much the same price I believe, unless you have found a one owner job that is, and maybe a bit less if u don't want an auto.

When I bought my car it had an mot with no advisories. It also had no brakes to speak off, all the discs had corroded to a point that they were chipping. I would dispute that an mot with no advisories is something you should take at face value.

best not to bother if its dont look good enough to be fair as they are always popping up for around the same sort of price
