I have been driving arround with hardly any oil and no water for a week! Not a peep from the engine tho! Plodded on as normal!

You can tell I have a tdi sat waiting to go in!

I got a 200tdi waiting for mine but after a run to sailsbury and back happily at 70 without a hiccup i'm reluctant to change, if it aint broke an all that,i love my 19j the more **** you give her the better she runs. You wait and see yours will plod on forever now you threatened it wiv a new lump.

I kno! Sods law! Its recent turn to disliking all fluids has made the swap a definite! Making a right mess of the road outside my and my gf's house! And water is constantly spraying from the overpressure valve thingy.. Can't be a good sign!

Well I have a 19j sat on my drive that starts and runs like a dream. This is my second one. The first 19j used to drag around an Ifor Williams tt105 trailer toppers with logs and woodchips without too much complaint although slowly. I used to let it do it's own thing in it's own time. This one never goes on the motorway so not bothered about the fact that it don't much want to go above 55mph without screeming it's head off.

But I am just about to start modding the 19j hardtop for some light overland stuff. I have no plans on changing the engine at this stage as it actually runs very sweet. I'm very happy with it and if if the engine goes pear shaped....well it aint the end of the world.
