factory commissioned colours

Hi

Does anyone know if Land rover produced specific colour paint work for various roles , just wondered as i recently bought a yellow one and would like to know if it was painted for The AA perhaps ??

Yellow was usually GPO, but could also have been AA.

What's the reg number? Sometimes blocks of up vehicles were usually bought for certain purposes.

Land rover standard colours were, bronze green, pastel green, marine blue, light grey, among others.
Poppy red was a special colour for fire vehicles for example.

My series three was yellow it had been used on Bristol airport for 20 years.

Hi Thanks for the info the reg is ADE40A not sure if thats original reg tho as seems to have been re registered on log book in 1983 , but manufacture date is 1962
