Factory bodykit

Hi all,

I"ve been away from Landrover for just over a year but I am just about to purchase another Freelander. Yippee!!!
My question is: The Freelander I am thinking of buying has one of those blooming horrible Factory Fitted Bodykits. The stupid ones which attach to the body and have raised strips running diagonally along the side of the car ending just rear of the back wheel which make it look like The Batmobile.
My question is: Can these Bodykits be removed without leaving holes or discolouration of the paint underneath them?
Any advice would really be welcomed as I only have a day or two to make my mind up.

Its bonded with double sided tape, silicone and using the original fasteners so should be possible to remove without damaging anything. Get yourself a copy of Rave and see the fitting instruction to re-assemble.

Once you get it off, sell it on Ebay. I'm shocked at how much they can sell for on there.

Rave is a technical library for the early LR's < 2007. Workshop, electrical and body repair manuals ++

You will find it on the interweb free of cost usually.

when you have removed it get some meth's and clean of the glue residue then polish.
