check the connector to the bulb maybe its a tad loose and will over heat , if it pulls off easily just tweak it with a pair of pliers

Don't suppose you got moisture in the unit itself? (condensation) if so eradicate the source of water. If you put the bulb in remember not to touch the glass it's very sensitive. Hope this helps a little.

Check the output of the alternator, the voltage regulator on them can pack up and allow higher voltages, one symptom is higher bulb failure, brighter lights and fast wipers.
