I would like to install an extra fuel tank under the passenger seat for a veg fuel conversion. Besides welding on another outrigger I would appreciate ideas for the tank - a military tank/adapt an ord drivers side tank/have one made up etc - was thinking also of installing a passengers side outside fuel filler..
thanks for any ideas....:welcome2:

i use the series military one with filler under seat so not have to cut hole in body ,but you need to run return as well as feed otherwise you will fill other tank as well as running engine, and as you say weld the out rigger on

Maybe the mil tank would be the one to go for but it could be nice to have an outside filler instead of lifting the passenger seat - I know this would create a lot of adapting...

I'd stick a second miltary type tank under the passenger seat, and use this as your start up diesel tank, keeping your existing tank for your SVO.

You shouldn't use much diesel, so wont need to lift the seat too often.

With regard to valving, I'd go for the pollack valves or two 3 way solenoid valves, so you can switch both feed and returns.

If using Veg, make sure you use a pre-heater on the veg side, otherwise your lucas pump (if that's what you've got) won't last long.

Cheers
Mark
