Extended roof rails on a D1??

Does anyone know if the extended Roof Rails that you can get for the D2 will fit a 300TDi?

If so, does anyone know the best place to get a set from?

D1 rails don't have the facility to connect an extension to them as I believe the D2s do, also the D2 has re-enforced mounting points for the extended rails.

Why dont you find a couple off D 1,s that are breaking and make your own " rear roof rail set ".

Cut the rail off before the bend and knock in the mounting from the other side,( after having knocked it off the other set ).

It just means that the middle support braket isnt shared, so you have 4 mounting pionts rather than 3. Stronger and will look factory !.

I bet you could get the rails from a scrapper well cheap !!.
