The rear air bags continued to inflate after parking and locking the car yesterday, resulting in a bang that brought the entire street to their front doors.
Possible causes I have come up with so far are: Sticking relay, knackered height sensor, or my worst nightmare the ECU.
Can anyone help with diagnosis as I can replace parts fairly easily but need to know its not likely to happen again.
Many thanks for any responses.

Something kept the compressor running while the ignition was turned off?

Sounds like the main relay for the compressor has got the contacts welded shut, so that's a first to look at.

After that, you'd have to have a solenoid valve powered open as well, so it looks like the ECU is faulty or you have a relay problem.
