You all seem to be missing the point.

It's a 1985 V8 therefore it is eligible for export to the USA. The Septics will pay top dollar for it but will only buy top quality examples. and they prefer V8's. However it has to be std to get through US import regs. So it would be interesting to see wether it sells or not and if so then to whom.

Good point pikey didn't think of that. He's still on a big loser though and it still looks daft in this country at that price.

At todays exchange rate it works out to $17,400 approx Last year Mint condition B Reg 110's were fetching upto $20,000

So it's a bit of a bargain really Especially as the septics prefer the 90's as well.

Well as they import 80% more than they export. I suppose they need to try something.

Bit of a losing battle really just a matter of time before they become another chinese possession..:)

I think the reason they import so many is, that way they have some vehicles which can go round a corner without having ear deafening tyre squeal.

There's an Esprit owner I know who has vowed she's not going back home to the states to live (visit is different) for a couple of years at least, that way when she returns she can take her commemorative edition car with her.
