The Afrikaans code :D For us Durbanites it is like a secret code ;)

There is a shop not 5 minutes from here that makes biltong, 5 types of wors, sells klippies, OBS, Hunters Gold, Nyala Maize Meal, 5 flavours of aromat, freshly masde koesisters, sosaties, even potjie pots. In fact friends from SA said they had not even seen so much South African stuff in SA. :D Dublin is a fair drive though !

hey booger
is that shop you talking about called susmans, because here in dublin our expat shop is called, jabula, and they buy in his biltong and dry wors,
then they get a container in every 2 months or so,whats nice is that they also offer to bring some stuff back in for you if there is space.so i can still get mrs balls chuctney simba chips and my daughters favourite strawberry pops and then the rest of the usual stuff, remember the black plastic motorbikes well i bought them for my kids,a unique but simple toy,

as for durbs i spent a lot of time there for both holidays/w/e and then the rest, more so in umhlanga and dbn nth also had a place in umlhoti.
so i know the waxi code as to my vaalie code.

what`s wrong with horse pies?

Nothing, unless you had a Pony when you were a kid ;)

Seriously though, it wasn't so much the fact that it was horse, which is actually healthier than cow, but the way it was slaughtered and stored before becoming a steak pie :D
