Exhaust

Just had my S111 through the MOT only problem was the exhaust which was rotten in a number of areas.

The exhaust was fitted and all well. The garage said they had to fill around the manifold and top of the exhaust pipe to get a seal. (Gum Gum )
I bought the full kit from Bearmach.

Now the gum gum has come of and from what I can see a gap of around 1/4" from both joints.

Am I missing a gasket ??

Any advice greatly appreciated.

No gasket required at this joint, just a thin smear of exhaust putty. Certainly shouldn't be a 1/4" gap. Is there something physically stopping the downpipe going high enough or are the threads on the manifold stripped? I'm not sure I'd trust a garage who bodged an exhaust this badly.

Wasn't a Britpart exhaust was it ?
