So recently i as at devils pit, i had to back up a steep bank. My back-box was hanging low and ended up getting bent over and i had to lop it off with a saw on the fly.
Now i need to do something with it.. i was wondering if there's a way to get a bit more noise (not to much mind) so i have the lovely V8 noise while im going to be fixing it, it currently has no back box and sounds about the same as it did with it on.
Also i wanted something with a bit more clearance at the back.
Ive read a few posts quoting that u can lose Torque if u take out the mid box.
I can weld so im able to make something up just want sum idea's rly.
Any idea's welcome!!

Sorry for the essay.

make it so it exits out of the lower rear panel my mate has his there and has no probs

try it without the mid box maybe see how loud it is

Hmm good thinking about coming out the side.
If im going to try it without the mid-box im going to have to use a back box, which i will have to buy as my 1 is trashed :(

no such thing for any model disco of the shelf side exit, they do one for a fender and it looks ****e!

dm10 try it first you might be supprised if it is to loud go to a car shop/fitting place and ask for a good scrap box(of a smaller size than standard, and weld in a smaller box, if its to loud with out the both fitted that is saves buying one;)

1 thing u can do to achieve the side exit is buy sum joins and bends from ebay or a car shop and just cut the back box off then use a 90 degree bend to send it to the side, as long as u get the correct sizes u can do it all with exhaust clamps - no welding needed!

like this?
ive got a custom SS de-cat, sports centre box with side exit, its got a big centre box so its not too loud

not a fan off pointless surrounds, i chopped the rear quarter bottoms off now anyway, the exhaust exits about 10mm below the level of the boot floor
