Have they said the fitter can repair it or it must go back to the manufacturer?

They said I have to remove box, arrange collection and they "will look at it"
Not as easy as it sounds as it is my only transport so will be out of action, I don't live on the mainland so getting a courier to collect will be difficult.

I'll get one of the local agricultural fitters to weld or fabricate a bracket in situ.

I was just taken aback by the go forth and multiply attitude of Rimmers.
That's what i would expect a seller to do. Repair under warranty where possible. If not then replace. Its not rimmers fault it has failed. If its caused by a manufacturing fault then its the manufacturer at fault. I would expect rimmers want it back so they can get the peeps who they bought it oft to repair or replace. Hence claiming oft the warranty they get from their supplier. Seems harsh as yer need to wait for a repair but thats a risk you take when buying something.
