Evening all
my exhaust recently started blowing from the front pipe so i have ordered a new part from paddocks
although the part I also need is not listed
my worry is is that is just another lets bodge it together part on the landy

i have a 200tdi 1992

If you look at the picture its the part that does a 90 degree down approx 12 inch then attaches to the front pipe
the square attatched from the maifold to the pipe looks like a bodge also
any help or advise would be greatful as i have looked every where and can not find it

sorry pics attached

It looks like the turbo downpipe used on a discovery 200 engine conversion. If that's right then the best one is the Steve Parker one. Ebay has a lot of cheaper ones.

well Managed to get it looked at today and landranger in middlewich cheshire
and they confirmed that its a disco 200tdi engine as the turbo is below the engine
i had no idea and missed this totaly being new to landy's
will get one made, i guess kind of put me off it a bit

I guess was worried about it being bodged
But when I started to read up about it many people have done it

So I have come to the thought that it's just part of charm of owning a Defender
She is 22 and need work, like many I guess

As for the part that is blowing, it is right on the bend that has been cut and welded
so im going to take it off and get it repaired/welded and then replace the rest

Then move on to the next job
