I have a 1997 Disco (North American) which seems to have the world's second most-choking exhaust system I have ever seen: i.e., two cat-conv. in total (one on each exhaust pipe off the header before joining into single exaust pipe) - the world's biggest muffler followed by a rear resonator (which is the size of most suv's main muffler)!
OK - so how to mod? I am in an area where I do not have to have cat-convs. attached - can I ditch these without any harm to the engine (i.e., does the 4.0 litre gasoline engine need all that back-pressure?)?
Also, any recommendations on exhaust moids down the line at the muffler and resonator?
