I drilled and tapped to 8mm. 8mm Bolts. works- but fiddly on my own trying to get the threads started

Managed it.
While I was too impatient to wait for a tap to arrive I drilled out the stud holes popped a bolt through from underneath and bunged a brass nut on top. All done and dusted. I did drop a ickle clanger by inadvertently removing a stud from the intake manifold whilst blindly fumbling around under there.
Noticed it was a little chewed and now it won’t go back in so I am waiting for the tap to arrive and see if I can’t clear the thread in the block.
