Right, I have just had the same problem as many people on here according to all the threads I have read and that problem is.

Looked at the simplest way to try and release some more power from the td5 mounted at the front of my 2004 D2 es. So I bought a decat pipe.

I managed to get the 3 x 15mm nuts off from the turbo and I even managed to undo the 2 x (very corroded) 17mm nuts between the cat and the centre box on the exhaust. As I had seen how corroded they were I didn't think that the cross member bolts would be a problem, how wrong could I be......

All 16, 10mm bolts have been rounded off and then waxoiled over:(. Yes all 16 and not by me, I didn't even get to do one:frown:. Looked on LZ and found this to be a common problem, I now know. Now I need to get them out by use of grinder/bolt extractor BUT seeing as I've chosen to live in France I can't do that until I have replacement fixings.

What do I go for? OEM:D

Marine grade hex bolt M10 stainless? Will they replace the rounded of bolts and screw into the captive nuts already there? What length of bolt, in mm? Or something else? Need to know details as they need to be ordered from interweb.

If you have read this far, still awake and can help, thanks. If your new to D2s like me check out the bolts before doing/starting work.

m8 bolts ,youll find ,just get a cold chisel and shear nut off through gap in corner of bracket , you can use m8 flange nuts as replacements ,they hold themselves once nipped so dont need holding with a spanner
