Got the 4.6HSE up on the ramps to fit me new Janspeed today. Unfortunately, the 11mm bolts on the flange just before the centre silencer are as round as Mr Blobby. Completely brown and crusty. I've wire brushed it and tapped on a ring spanner, but I don't see it moving. Soaked it completely in WD40 and will attack again tomorrow morning armed with mini blow torch.

Anyone got round this problem? Advice guys please on best/easiest way to separate these pipes?

Thanks
Jock

Thanks for the comments guys. I could hacksaw the bottom fine, but the top one doesn't have much clearance, so think it would be a bloody nightmare to hacksaw off with 2mm strokes.

I've got a 12v high speed mini disc cutter - gonna try that tomorrow on the shank of the bolt between the flanges then batter it off.

Will do the same with the flange before the Y-pipe and then at least I can maybe get the old system off intact and ebay it!
