As the title says, my 110 has far too much play in the steering! Must turn a good 1/8th of a turn before it actually engages anything and then I can feel the pump working.

I've recently fitted another steering pump but it was like this before I fitted it. Any ideas?

Mines the same, it's my steering box, adjusted it and it's no better but thing replacements are around £140 exchange but there are different types just make sure you get the right one.
As above though check everything else first as it could just be an easy fix

Worn ball joint?
I has that and the drop arm was stuck on like someone welded it there! Should have just changed the ball joint maybe? It's pressed in though.

If it was anything like mine, then it will be a whole collection of things. No one item in itself was excessively worn, but a little bit in play in several different components can lead to an awful lot of play at the wheel.

That's what I think it'll be Martin. So many things to fix on my truck! I mean it drives, but not how I want it to, all in time though...

Everything seemed fine all the way from the wheel to the steering box where the splines seemed to turn but it wasn't turning anything inside the box?

Is this worth adjusting or is my box fooked?

My moneys on the drop arm ball joint .
Some play can be taken up in the steering box with the free play adjusting screw on the top of box with lock nut but dont over do it other wise steering will be stiff and won,t self centre.
I do it with both front wheels jacked up off the ground to get a better feel of things.
