Bit of a query I can seem to find using the search on ex MOD landys

After lasts weeks little expedition so see if I can actually fit in a defender ( I can :) ) It raised 2 issues

1) local defenders and 90's seem to be a bit hit and miss in abundance and quality judging by my post late last week so im now going to search for an ex army landrover thats had the engine swop and PAS added :D

2) Seat height and forward vision rather than legroom seems will be more of an issue with me (6ft 1 but long of leg short of torso) so would need seat base risers from either exmoor or MUD

My issue is when researching the seat risers it says the for civie defenders they simply bolt in but on ex MOD they have a different mechanism involving screws rather than bolts but its only vaguely mentioned and no definitive answer to if they fit or not?

So my question is will they fit an ex army landrover?

Thanks in advance

Phil

I'm 5'4" and short of nearly everything *wink wink* and don't struggle at all with vision on standard seat.

If you take the seat base out, and the floor underneath, you can quite easily access the 4 bolts that hold the seat in. Decide how much higher you need to go, find some longer bolts to accommodate, and make some spacers to sit between the seat, and the seat box.
2 lengths of box with holes drilled in will suffice. :)
Should be able to get some bolts from local hardware store, along with the box section.

And in answer to your question, probably yes, but may require some new holes drilled/modifications.

Sorry if that's not much help!
