Rossy, don't take the critiscm to heart. This forum is made of 98% realists and what they are saying is what they feel.
You could look to sell elsewhere where it won't get criticised but you'll also get a lot of wasters.

that might be bu it isnt like yours and it hasnt got checker plate on the bottom of the doors etc

So why not sell the D2 give us £5500 and have £1500 in your pocket?

Or tell us more about the D2 as could just use as part ex for the V8 being newer....I've been looking at your posts and it does look nice....why was the Air flow disconnected for the last MOT....
Why do you want a 90 if going working oversea's and why would you swap what you think is worth £6 for what "you think" is worth £4k???

Ok, in order lol. No time to sell D2. Off to Aus for 13 months from end July as contract in Sale, Manchester finishes. Air flow meter we disconnected at last MIT as week before I had it remapped and I was told it needed to be replaced, so to get most from remap I left it off. I have since replaced MAF (now reconnected but not noticed a difference). I have also recently brought a half roof rack and rear ladder and fitted them. Start with a Defender! The disco is completely awesom and I paid over 7k for it at Churchill 4x4 (google them and ask them about the car Ck02gcy) six months ago. It has bespoke interior (cream and black leather with red stitching) and a DAB Bluetooth radio.

And I had 3x new wheel bearings as there was slight leak at MOT.

What I will say is that based on 105k miles (Your Last mot so guess its more than that now) its not worth half of £6k unfortunatly, Private sale guide price is comming out at £2750 and although the leather looks very nice (the hole truck actualy) I'm not sure its £3000 worth and the trade in guide which is what I'd be interested in is sadly only £1650....and so thats all I could give...as its all I'd get in Part ex..Not what you want to hear I'm sure...
So I'll have to decline and whish you luck.....bare in mind I started off wanting over £8k for the 90....I still think its worth that...but its realy about what others think its worth.....and at £5500 I'm loosing quite a lot LOL
Want an XKR or CLS AMG tho....and sold one car so having most of the funds means being more realistic with price on the Landy...

I completely understand, yes "we buy" valuation is very poor for my car but we all know what mint condition are worth and I don't need to sell. If like the 90 its got full history, every MOT, records of timeing belts etc you'll do ok, its a very nice truck....I've had 3 Disco's all 300TDI's tho.....
