I have bought a Range Rover vogue on a 2017 plate landmark version had it a week and signs are coming up any idea what it may be

1. System: Engine Management – 9M4 / Diesel MEDC 17.9-3P006A

  • Fault Area:
    • Intake manifold pressure / Air mass meter (MAF sensor)

  • Error Message:
    • Signal higher than expected
🔧 What it means:


This suggests that the engine control unit (ECU) is detecting unusually high readings from either the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor or the mass air flow (MAF) sensor. This can result in poor air/fuel mixture, affecting performance and emissions.

🔍 Possible causes:

  • Faulty or dirty MAF/MAP sensor
  • Intake air leaks (e.g. cracked hose)
  • Blocked or faulty EGR valve
  • Turbo overboost issues

2. Code P0341 – Camshaft Position Sensor (Bank 1, Sensor A)
  • Error Message:
    • Wrong adaptation parameter
🔧 What it means:

P0341 indicates a timing issue between the camshaft and crankshaft signals, usually related to the camshaft position sensor.

🔍 Possible causes:

  • Failing or misaligned camshaft sensor
  • Timing chain/belt wear or misalignment
  • ECU adaptation issues
  • Poor electrical connection

I know the answers are there but wanted some advice of evoque owners that have had these codes
 
Not many ejoke owners on here. As a start, you could try disconnecting the MAF and clearing the codes, see if they return. The ECU should use a default setting (I think), which will prove/disprove the sensor.


Or burn it 🤪

If you have live data on the diag,
Look at how the egr is behaving..
If the percentage figures of the egr valve glitch and or don't match the intended percentages it could be sticking just enough not to flag a fault.
Also read the maf figures while the engine is running and look for a reasonable smooth airflow when slowly lifting the engine speed via the accelerator. Once again any wild glitcing in the figures will show a defective maf.
As for the camshaft sensor. Depending on its mileage it could well point to a stretched chain (a very common issue with the more modern day engines with chains).
Oil changes, oil type and quality play a massive part in the life of the chains and their counter parts. 🤔

@Adamjk I see @Mark Piercy is on the ball this morning BUT for future use an ejoke is not a "Range Rover vogue'". They are quite different beasties. Nope, correction, one is a beast and one is a ladybird.
That put right I hope your ladybird is sorted soon 😁🐞

Think it the bloody chain feel like doing the latter
 
Don’t worry, if you had a RR instead you’d still feel like burning it.
Difference is we’d be able to give a lot more advice.
I’m afraid the only thing in common with a RR is the badge so we here aren’t over familiar with the specific intricacies of such a vehicle. Neither will a Freelander owner is my guess?

I'm confused, which car does the OP have? Evoque, Vogue (assuming L322) or the old Facebook Marketplace favourite "Vouge or Jeep" which frankly could mean anything on there.
