I've been lurking around land rover sites for about ten years the. Same time as I've had 110, 1984 van diesel. Over the years, I've had the following done.
Galvanised chassis,
Galvanised bulkhead
Galvanised frame doors.
Stainless exhaust,
200TDI,
Power steering.
Any one would think I have problems with rust! Well I do live not far from where houses have been falling in the sea this week!
Sadly I can't do my own engineering these days, as time is in short supply due to two other hobbies and a large garden(jungle).
I use the 110 for towing boats, occationally towing trees that have blown down, down the garden.
Getting to work when it snows, (motor scooter in good weather) no public transport round here.
I am currently working on sound proofing and improving the cabin (doing that my self!)
To save being told to search!!!!! I've been wading through old threads. Looking at anything of interest I'm back to page 220 so far.
