I have a Marlin running a supercharged disco 3.9 V8. it often smells of fuel, presumably due to there being no carbon canister/purge valve.

If i can find a suitably small ( limited space in engine bay) cabon canister & purge valve where would one send the vapours from the canister/purge valve. The supercharger fits directly onto where the plenum chamber was,. Would it be acceptable to tap into the air input before the supercharger, and would these vapours be safe being compressed?

I built the car muself, but am clueless on this subject. Any help would be much appeciated.

Regards to all

escort has a separate evap valve, canister is by osf headlight and one off a 1.6 16v would be cheap at scrap yard.
