Am at present stripping ex mod paint job back to metal and have to use etch primer ,yes?. my body work is so battered that i have loads of small spots of paint left that i cannot get to easily can i etch primer over these or will it react? i have looked at some of the old threads but none seem to deal with this problem, if i cant how do i get these spots out is it steel wool , nitromoors or what.
I would appreciate the WORD on this as i now have LOTS of bare metal showing and shes outside oxidising as i write.
AND...whats best hand painting it on or airosol.?

Should be able to etch prime over it. U-Pol do an aerosol etch primer called Acid#8. On ebay if you can't get it elsewhere.

upoxy 2k acid etch is the best etch primer i have used and i have only had one problem with it reacting to old paint. if you get a good quality acid etch and spray a light coat over the surface and leave to dry then another light over coat and allow this to dry then give it a good coat, this should stop any reaction to the old paint still on the panels, this is how i got round a problem with reaction.
