Erratic Parking Sensors

Hi guys

Hoping someone can help with a problem that has occurred with my parking sensors. They seem to have a mind of their own. They had worked perfectly since I got the freelander in October but this last week or so they have started going off even though there is nothing behind me. I had thought it may be dirt but after a thorough cleaning they are still behaving the same. Sometimes they beep that something is there but far away and sometimes they beep as if im about a foot away from something.
I have had a listen and they all seem to be doing the clicking noise I read about in another thread.

Any other ideas or fixes?

Check your reversing bulbs I had one go and it was doing the same thing I wondered what it was until I was backing up and the wife was watching me when she got into the car she said you have a reverse light out and a new one cured the problem

Thanks for the advice, i checked the reverse lights but they are both ok. I had a brake light out but fixing it did not sort the parking sensor problem. Any other ideas?

Yeah disconnect them and learn how to park.

These driver assist gadgets do make driving easier but they also make us lazier and poorer drivers.
