Does anyone have one of these going spare? it must have the black plug rather than the round plug.

my idle is giving me headaches, just want to see if this is the problem.

need a price plus p&p

thanks

Tried that - but seems to be caused by lifting off the accelerator pedal when slowing down to a junction but also only on LPG but it is fine on Petrol.

hi,
Have you reset the base idle speed, I had a similar problem with a disco a few years ago and the very nice and helpful Bruce at Camco88 (Warrington)advised that I should check and reset the base idle speed (BIS), he went on to explain that if the BIS is incorrect then the engine management gets its knickers in a twist trying to stabilise the engine, it cant so it ends up all erratic..
as far as I can remember bis is 650 ~ 700 rpm and controlled is @800#, I snceet mine by referring to the workshp[ manual and it made a big difference,
I may have a spare throttle position potentiometer if needed.

Hi Phil, thanks very much for the response. I've had the base idle reset by a fellow LR enthusiast but was told it should be 520 rpm - is that too low? It just seems to be hunting and revs are bouncing between 850-500 when I take foot off the pedal as I approach a junction etc especially on LPG.

If you have a spare TPS (flat connector) that would be great. You wouldn't happen to have a genuine idle control valve? I'm unsure the aftermarket one is doing me any favours. Need to get this resolved as wife is going spare :censored:
