Hello Everyone, I've just joined up after being pointed in your direction by a few current members who have recently started posting on another forum I visit.

I drive a Td5 90 which is my first (and so far only) car, I work for Tesco, I help out with Convoy for Heroes and I am a member of Lothian 4x4 Response. With all of this I do tend to be quite busy but one can never be a member of too many forums (fora?).

Hiya Mark

Welcome to landyzone. Some of our members can be a little 'abrupt' so just make sure that you keep your rhino skin coat close to hand and try not to bite when they go on a wind up.

The thread that you are looking for is here....

http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f37/****yfooks-zeros-191382.html

You may have to have a post count of 10 or more to see it. If that is the case just keep replying to me on here an we'll soon get you in.:)

Thank you for the welcome.

I'm not about to go wading into yet another discussion about who did what, where and when. I won't be posting on that thread as I don't think it's appropriate (I wouldn't gatecrash a party either), I'm not directly involved and I plan to stay that way.

Hi and welcome. Id be careful about mentioning that your associated with Convoy for Heroes on here, seeing as what happened a few days ago.
that doesn't bother me, I was up to my ankles in Royal Highland Show muddy-water (or was it watery-mud?) over the weekend, we had a wee bit o' rain from Thursday to Saturday which made ground conditions atrocious.

did someone mention cake?!!!

Welcome to the mad house.

I think you'll find a tremendous wealth of experience and knowledge about all things Land Rover. We're a tremendous bunch of folks (well most of us) and always willing to give a hand. As a newcomer, be wary about entering Anything Goes. It's great non-tangental discussion board, but they tend to give newbies a hard time, particularly those who join, immediately want to sell you their Land Rover parts for three times what Britpart charge, or ask the inevitable question "what size tyres fit my Land Rover?" They are usually referred to the search facility, often in an abrupt manner.

Check out International Rescue and you'll see we're not ogres really. In fact, some members are quite soft hearted - but then there's Series 71 our resident grumpy.

The thread on C4H, which I've read, is interesting

We even allow Freelanders on here, although they have to accept they're just not proper land Rovers - just hairdressers mobile salons really.:D

Finally, stick around, you may even get to like it.

OMG. You've been here just five minutes and you've sussed out the fact that 110 woman keeps us all supplied in cakes. We can't go laning without them.

After you've posted 500 times, you can join the waiting list:D:D:D

SShh! Don't tell him anything otherwise folks.;)

I should be OK as my land rover already has appropriately sized tyres and I dont EVER plan on selling it so I don't need to know how much it's worth.

If thats the feeling on the freelander, has anyone dared mention the Range Rover E-word? I sat in one at the weekend, would do me as a 'car' but no way I'd have one over the Defender.
