Disco 3 (LR3) EPB

A slight variant on what I have already read. EPB will disengage automatically when I pull away but if I try to manually release the amber warning light and "Park Brake Fault" warning pop up. Is a dealer visit required or will a diagnostic be required first?

Side note, its on an automatic.

No need to touch it, unless it doesn't release !

When was the EPB last serviced? It could be something simple like the shoes need cleaning. They are supposed to be stripped and cleaned at least annually and more often if used off road
