on the road to kazakhstan and trying to find some ep90 for axles and T Box. im not good with knowing oil numbers and meanings. cant find ep90 anywhere. would it go by another name? if i cant find it what else is usable.

sorry for not searching. limited internet.

many thanks.

I also know it as a Hypoid gear oil .. the 90 is a 'weight' or effectively a viscosity/thickness of the oil, so any number close would probably do as a 'get you by' substitute .. ;)

found some 75w90. thats in the axles now. got some gl4 for the trans box. cant find mtf94 for the gbox so will use atf 2. (is atf 3 not good?). what about engine. everything here is 5w30. seems too cold for me.

cheers for your help!

LOL, 5w 30 will have to do then!!! ;)

At least you have some oil ... get it while you can I'd say .. but you wouldn't imagine Oman to be short of the stuff!

ATF Dextron 3 is better over MTF94 anyway,

5w30 means it will leak out faster,

80x90 is prefered on diffs and transferboxes anyway, if they leak then go to ep90
