Should I use EP90 or one shot grease in my swivels? They are on EP90 now and weeping:eek:, Going to fit new seals but not sure which lube to go for? DEFENDER 90 300TDI

Thanks, Gordon.

yeah one shot for a 300 TDI, it sure it was the older ones (pre defender) with the Railko bush at the top prefered EP90

They only changed to one shot because there was lots of complaints from new disco drivers in 1989/1990 when they were released dispite RRC and Defenders using ep90 previously with no troubles I would think either would be fine. I use EP90 because I have it kicking about

what stops the diff oil running along the axle and entering the swivel? is there a seal somewhere? or could the diff oil mix with the swivel oil?

Is there a seal betwen the end of the axle and the swivel housing where they bolt together?

It's right at the end, in the bit that bolts on. I have grease in mine. Britpart grease. It comes in packets with a straw on it to fill with. I've filled mine to the top because I was thinking that because it is thick it won't get into all of the spaces unless it's packed in. I expected it to blow the seals but I've had no problems so far.
