From what I can suss from the pics in the hand book there int no poofy brass bushes in the transfer box, and I've only had mine apart enough to know that the diff lock selector gubbins is some sort of brassy type alloy.

Yeah, means yer gotta stop a farmer & ask him where he gits the stuff tho' & the miserable fecker'll probably just lie outta spite anyways!

If the farmer you want to stop and ask, is driving a tractor, give him plenty space.

Tractors don't have a lot of brakes ....

and what little brakes they have are probably soaked in EP-90 ...

Just read this fred and run out to check me empty tins (GL5) arrrrrrr how bad is this stuff? its been in my 2a Gearbox / transfer box for a year.
Is it like "alien blood" and me gb's a write off or is it just a case of emptying it out at the next service (or this weekend) and filling with GL4?.

yup the Dibnah did - a section of lorry jack hydraulic lever bolted to two outside bolts and a sharp heave did the job. just cleaning up the flange ready to refit with new oil seal. fyi - the new oil seal has a double lip, unlike to 'original' one, so should be better.

then its redo the front oil seal and the t/box rear oil seal and see if the Dibnah will make it to Kent. You going Clivees?

when grippa putting them things back wot he took?????????????
