EP90 dripping from front hub?

Its dripping from the chrome ball seal, the thing is I don't use ep90 in there, I use one shot. 300tdi axle.
Its been a long old time from I stripped a front hub, can anyone enlighten me on which seal has gone?
 
There's an oil seal between the swivel and the main axle case. If you take the chrome ball off it sits just inside the flange where the chrome ball bolts onto the axle case. Sounds like it's not sealing to me.

Some people seem to take them out on purpose to enable the oil to get into the swivel and into the hub.

That's what I thought, I may as well do the swivel seal as well.
 
check the axle breather first - I spent a few precious holiday hours once trying to figure this one out - ep90 oozing out. snipped off the breathers low down and cured the problem....
