I'd be checking the wiring to them first.
With the ignition on, at the injector you should have 12 volts on one of the wires and nothing at the other. The ECU supplies the earth path to trigger the injector. It's possible to test an injector in two ways. You can use a multimeter to check the resistance or you can apply 12 volts which should trigger it.

Please could you put me on to a place that sells second hand ECU, Alarm Unit,and Key Fob as i need to prepare for all possibles. Fitting a new ECM here in Zimbabwe is not an option as Land rover Zimbabwe are not able to re programme the ecu to the vehicles alarm transponder.
I have removed the injectors and tested for continuity and all 3 are showing that they are working , i will now test the power to the injectors them selves and see if there is power. The way things are going i strongly suspect the circuitry operating the injectors in the ecu has failed.

Hi Nodge. Checked the injector wiring as suggested, i am not getting 12 volts to any of them. tested the suspect injector wiring for cyl 2,4,and 6 first. Then 1,3,and 5 with the ignition on. No voltage. Am i doing it right? Negative terminal of test meter to negative on battery. Then positive probe to test the two pins in the injector connector? The injectors 1,2,3,4,5,and 6 are giving me a reading on the continuity test. ECU fried???

ound:Oops i cocked up had the multimeter on AC voltage instead of DC.

Wires to Injectors 1,3,and 5 giving 12 volts. Wires to injectors 2,4,and 6 showing NO Voltage... I guess my ECM is cooked after all.:nothingtoadd:

You could test the rear ignition coils for 12 volts too as they may be fed by the same drive circuit? I think the 12 volts to the injectors is fed by an internal voltage/ current controller so the ECU could well be fauly? but it would be a good idea to test the wiring from the ECU plug to the injectors as I think there is a splice in there somewhere.
I'll look out for an ECU/ alarm for you just in case

Have tested the injector wiring from each individual injector back to the ECU connector, i have readings for all 6 injector connectors back to the ECU connector. This now more than anything else seems to confirm that the ECU is faulty. Will check the coils for coninuity and power readings tomorrow.

Do all the injectors have separate 12 volt wires to the ECU? I've not studied it that closely tbh. Just a thought? If the ECU already faulty then you might be able to take the 12 volt feed from the working injectors to feed the dead ones? I've no idea if it will work of kill the ECU a bit more? If it was me I'd probably risk it.

Hi Nodge, Dont think that would work as the firing order would not be right . as 1,3 and 5 would be firing if you connect 2,4,and 6 into the same circuit you would have a firing order of 1and 2 firing together at the same time. Dont think it will work. I have traced each individual injector wire back to the ecm and noted which pins are for 2,4,and 6 on the ecm.
I then opened the ecm to see if there was any physical damage visible. Nothing visible. Then traced the tracks from each pin and all tracks head into 2 chips.

The only option now is have the ecu repaired,or buy a new ecu and have it linked to the cars alarm control unit or buy a used ecm, alarm control unit ignition switch and keys and fit it. A lengthy and expensive process which ever way you look at it , if you live in africa.

Engine will not start.
