Engine warning light ⚠️

So a while ago my catalytic converter exploded on me. I recently replaced it but now the steady amber engine warning light is still on. I have replaced the emissions lead from the cat and it’s still on. Without taking it to the garage how can I cancel this light. It’s driving me mad. Thank you.

You need an OBD2 compliant reader to diagnose and clear the light.

That's the first time I've seen a warning triangle int fred title on ere. How did yer do that? Funny codes like ; ) to wink smilie?

Almost, im logged in from my iPhone so can use the symbols from that!!

For a few quid you can get a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle the works with an app, although I don't know if the IPhone BT allows such communications. You might need to use a Wi-Fi version.

My droid can definitely access my engine ECU so I can read and clear codes.

I use an app called Torque.
