Engine seized?

Hello everyone...
So I turned the key in my 110 200tdi this morning and... nothing. So I tested all the obvious things out (battery, starter&switch, ignition switch, etc) and all work fine. All the lights come on and go off on the dash as they should, the last time it was used was saturday. This is really confusing me, as if I disconnect the starter from the engine, all works fine, however if I reconnect the starter, the engine won't crank at all. Could there be something jammed in the engine, or could it be seized or something? I just did a service 100 and something miles ago, and the 110 was alright when I turned it off saturday...

When you say disconect the starter motor and everything works, so you mean the engine then turns without the starter motor connected?

What I mean is that the starter will spin at normal speed when disconnected from the engine.

Ok. Does the starter motor spin when you try to turn the engine over using it?

are you saying you have taken the starter motor out and tested it?

it should spin and jump out... if it just spins, then its no good....

might also be worth putting a socket on the bottom flywheel and seeing if the engine turns by hand

It should jump out first before spin???

If a fluid leaks into a cylinder you get hydrolic lock[head gasgit gone maby]take out glow plugs and try starter any fluid will fly out,keep clear.

have you tried just turning the engine over with a ratchet on the crank that will tell you straight away if the engine is siezed

Try towing it or get a socket on the front pulley to see if it turns. (too late as usual)
