cheers again.
i now know whats wrong with the existing engine. the knocking and blue smoke is a result of it running on its own engine oil, a result of worn rings/pistons/bores. a mate of mine thats very knowledgable said if i took the breather pipe off the intake manifold and put it into a bottle then from the bottle to the manafold that would stop the "overrun" and i could still use the truck while i found and rebuilt my new engine. what do you think?
do you know of a good place to find all the bits, ie rings, pistons, bearings ect?
is a dti thingy expensive to buy? or do i just get an engine place to do that bit?
