Hi registered last year when i had regulator problems, still have as i cant get anyone to repair them with the kits from ebay...

New problem yesterday started up my landy fine and drove to doctor surgery, after returning half an hour later put my key in the ignition and nothing all warning icons came on but engine refused to fire up.... took key out and retried it a few times and eventually it kicked over and started. Noticed oil and battery light stayed on longer than rest. I've nobody who can help with this problem so anyone who knows whats going on... Please post !! Was thinking the oil may need topping up my ex used to do these jobs but I haven't a clue hence being on the site.

Not used it since as I dont want to cause anymore damage... funds are tight. Had landy 2yrs and its costing me a fortune. Paid out £500 for engine work at garage, new exhaust, brake cable, four new tires, 2 regulator kits which nobody will fit.... now this.... think I'll sell my freelander ES, cant afford to keep forking out money to the mechanics at my local garage char . But love my landy

When you turned the key to start, did the starter motor turn the engine or did nothing happen at all?

On the window regulator cables, if you have to pay a garage to fit them then its probably not cost effective due to high labour costs, probably cheaper just to get them to fit a new regulator/motor assembly.
