Engine oil KV6

Good day,

I always use 10w 40 oil for my car's engine, but lately I noticed the sounds of friction in the morning, ( not sure if valve tick or rod knock !! ) but they lessen with movement. My question is, can I change the viscosity of the oil to become 20w 50 ?

20/50 is pretty thick, I would say to thick for a modern engine like the kv6, tbh I would have thought it was on 5/30?

No. Stick to 5w40 full synthetic, which is what is specified.

What about the engine noise, use additive ? Or leave it as is ? What do u recommend ?

Take a video of starting it from cold, and stick it on YouTube, so we can have a listen.
