I seem to have developed an oil leak (surprise surprise) where the engine oil cooler pipes fit just under the oil filter housing. Rave is a bit vague how they fit under there. Do they go into the engine block and how (O ring or gasket) or into oil filter housing. Assistance and p*ss taking greatly appreciated

Tis diesel P38 BUT I have just won the dunce of the week award. Had a proper look just now as rain has stopped and was leak off pipe between 3 &4 that had split and running down. Why I didn't leak offs first I'll never know:eek::eek: At least problem over so let the wee wee taking commence:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Nah, we're all either in the same club or soon to join. Have you checked your leak off pipes?:D:D I haven't smelt diesel since I replaced all mine with the Gates pipe, more expensive but worth it if it lasts.;)

What are these leak off pipe things lots are talking about:confused:.

Is it a new bag type thing so you can stand at the bar all night and not worry about breaking the seal:D:D:D.

We'll have to have a pint sometime and you can take the bag with you when you go to the loo.:D I'm not there yet but the son in law is and he's only turned 40. I feel for him.:(

Changed them all a few weeks back I have to push them on with long nose pliers and it appears I may have split them end of the pipe doing this and its worked its way loose

Can I bring my younger brother. He's just had operation for bowel cancer 2 weeks ago. He's got bag fitted. They can both laugh at us whilst we keep running to the loo:D:D

The Gates pipe is so tight I had to ease the pipe by pushing my long nosed pliers into it before quickly pushing it on to the injector nipple:eek: cue @Mark Piercy then sending it fully home with the pliers. It soon tightens up.;)

What is this number:confused: Shirley that should read 30mp2g:eek:.

I have no idea what spill pipes the TDV8 has in fact really when I open the bonnet its all just plastic cover, it could just be a covered up "A" series or 2;) under it for all I know;).
Serious;) we can get into the middle 9.xL/100klm according to the onboard lie O meter, which is not far short of that "claimed " figure:)

The petrol engined beast at least you can see why it uses so much when you open the bonnet:p.

I wanted to get a TDV8 4.4 last year but was talked out of it by the Boss.:( all my reasons where shot out of the sky:eek: more tax, dearer insurance and now no caravan to tow and only 905 miles driven in a year.i couldn't argue.

905 miles driven in a year.

All the more reason to buy something that does single digits to the galleon:p:D

i couldn't argue.

Not even gonna try and help with that either:)

All I can say is if you have the chance to get the "boss" in 1 for a drive, then try again, I bet minds could be changed:).

Hmm. Isn't there something going around that affects your sense of smell? :)
I know on the couple of occasions my Sprinter has done the injector copper seals the smell of diesel in the cab was dreadful. Made my eyes sting too.

My sense of smell is fine I'm counting on the new pipes lasting longer than two months.;):D
