I'm not there yet but the son in law is and he's only turned 40. I feel for him.Leak off pipes allow excess diesel to return to the tank,if they leak the fuel economy can drop below 30 MPG.What are these leak off pipe things lots are talking about

The Gates pipe is so tight I had to ease the pipe by pushing my long nosed pliers into it before quickly pushing it on to the injector nipple
cue @Mark Piercy then sending it fully home with the pliers. It soon tightens up.

Shirley that should read 30mp2g. under it for all I know. we can get into the middle 9.xL/100klm according to the onboard lie O meter, which is not far short of that "claimed " figure.

My sense of smell is fine I'm counting on the new pipes lasting longer than two months.Hmm. Isn't there something going around that affects your sense of smell?
I know on the couple of occasions my Sprinter has done the injector copper seals the smell of diesel in the cab was dreadful. Made my eyes sting too.
