Have 2003 Freelander it has developed a knocking noise on tick over can’t really hear it over 20mph but awful when slowing down or waiting. It sound like a pneumatic drill someone said could be a timing chain tensioner problem. Car has just had full service. Anyone got any ideas that may help please.

Just because its been serviced Don't take it for granted that it has enough oil in it ..
If you've already checked it, then sign that off the list.
