Hello,

recently my '00 Defender 110 Td5 did not allow me to turn on the engine
immobilizer. When I pressed the remote button to secure the truck, it just
honked the horn twice . I did check to make sure all the doors and bonnet
were shut.

Any idea?

Kent,

You more then likely experienced a miss-lock. One of your switches is not
working, most probably the bonnet switch.
To diagnose which one is the culprit just go around and depress each one in
turn while you press the remote to arm until you get a silent lock.

Regards,
Uli
