Engine Immobiliser Override Code

How do I go about obtaining the Engine Immobiliser Override Code for my FL1 so I can get in and start the motor if the fob/s are lost or inoperative?

Go to dealer and he should obtain it for you, or go to the workshop with autologic diagnostic.

I got mine from autologic and it works fine - you can change it for easier to remembering for you.

i think u have to get a hawkeye or testbook plugged in and get the existing fobs etc reprogrammed or if not new ones

are ur keys ones with the chip inside them

some of the more experienced guys should be more helpful

My hawkeye doesn't read eka codes but my hawkeye will disable the alarm and immobiliser

Least that what it says in the menu lol

wouldn't the hawkeye reprogram new fobs without the need of getting the code ????

but understand what ur saying about it turning the sensor off and just using the key

On my 2000 l series I prpgrammed 2 2nd hand fobs

Hippo tried the same on his v6 and lost all fobs and no new ones were added and had to get his car either towed or a mobile guy can't remember which to come and do it with there machine

Are you sure you don't have the eka code ? - it should be written on the car's security card, this was originally kept in the leatherette folder for your handbook etc.

When adding 1 extra fob I had the unfortunate situation where it went wrong and the rolling code synchronising the immobiliser to the engine computer became unsynchronised. The result being a recovery truck carrying ma hippo to the main dealer. I did try a mobile chap who doesn't do mobile anymore. Distance to him was 4x the main dealer distance.

The hawkeye does show the eka code but it shows something like /E4?@ or similar on all I've seen.

If anyone uses the hawkeye to program fobs I would suggest reading live data from the Securoty \ CCU menu first, in order to confirm data updates when you do things like open/close the doors, in order to confirm yer hawkeye IS correctly talking to yer Freelander.

when i get it back will check that out and maybe get some screen shots of the hawkeye and post it on here if it could help anyone

i keep meaning to send mine off but either something breaks or have to spend on the house

Okay, What do LR dealers charge to get that over ride code?

With the P38 and Disco anyway, the EKA, radio code etc can be got from any Main Stealer. Take the Registration document (Log book) and a form of ID with you just in case you encounter a "Jobsworth". The information is readily and instantly available from the LR database, which all main stealers have instant access. There should be no charge for this service and you have a right to have them.
Make a note of the codes and keep them safe.

if you know anyone with a t300 i got the eka code and programed 3 fobs to the car
if any one around northants ever wants them doing it only takes 3 mins to do and no charge
thats for the 2 button fob not foumd out how to do the pectron ones yet
