Evening all,

I'm about to mount the engine and gearbox on my rebuild project but unsure of the orientation of the mounts.

I've got the square NRC2052 mounts, with the metal tabs/arms, should these be pointing upwards or down? If anyone has a photo that would be great.

I've also realised the stud/threads of one of the mounts is long enough that it fouls on the chassis rail, when poking through the metal mount bracket.

Thanks

The tabs are there as a safety, in case the rubber sheers. Makes little difference which way except pointing down they will not hold crap. Just trim the stud a bit.

Having had one shear off it slides down so it pays to put them on the top and bottom of the angle not front and rear. I saw the studs off to the nut + washer thickness plus 1 turn. Makes them easier to replace in-situe. I find they don't last more than a couple of years,.which is no surprise at £15 for 4

Poor English on my part. What I mean is that it doesn't matter there the bent bits are on the bottom facing up or top facing down, so long as they are positioned to catch the engine if the mount shears and slides down. If they are at the front and back they don't stop the engine slipping off the shared mount.
