i'm currently rebuilding my 1990 110,i've ordered a 300 galv chassis as i'm fitting a 300 engine and box from a discovery in it and at the time of ordering the chassis i wasn't aware that the transferbox would be further forward so i'd have to swap props and use the 300 tunnel
can the transfer box be fitted in the same place as it was by using the lt77 gearbox mounts, and would i drop lucky that the engine mounts would line up with the rear holes in the chassis engine mounts
i haven't as yet got the chassis it was ordered with a 2-3 week delivery wait but it is now around 4 weeks from order date and i'm trying to sort out what bits i can refurb that i know i'll be able to use

The only difference I know of between defender and disco gearbox is that the bellhousing is longer, transfer box in same place and engine about 4 inches further forward. I just made extensions to the mounts to make it fit.

Cheers i was told the defender and disco r380 boxes had the same bellhousing but the person telling me only thought they were
My 110 was originally a turbo diesel and i later fitted a 200 but it is getting a bit worn so i opted for a low mileage 300 and box

LT77 and R380 early discovery boxes have the same mounting points as defender, I fitted R380 and 200tdi in my 1990 90 and it all fitted except engine mounts which I extended with quarter plate.
300 Exhaust will be a problem as it comes down near or on the engine mount rather than 200 which goes back away from the mount. I had both engines in the 90 (not at the same time though:p)

not sure how it'll play out then and it won't be till i get the engine and box sat in the chassis
i can fabricate a new mount for the n/s out or make the exhaust
